About

Oakleigh Bowling Club was established in 1906, making it one of the oldest lawn bowling clubs in Victoria. History buffs can check it out here: OBC History
As a true community-based club, OBC welcomes members of all ages and abilities. Our club is proud to call itself home to the Hellenic Bowls Club of Victoria and the Monash University Lawn Bowls Club, of which you can read more below.
Throughout the year, the club calendar is filled with special events such as our annual Melbourne Cup Day Luncheon, Christmas parties and impromptu barbeque gatherings.
Come along on a Thursday evening for your free and friendly introduction to lawn bowls and build your own new community.
If you have a friend or relative who might be interested in visiting the club, but who doesn’t have internet or email, print them an information flyer here. OBC about us 2018
Monash University Lawn Bowls Club

OBC is proud to be associated with the prestigious Monash University and since 2012 we have been home to the Monash University Lawn Bowls Club. Team Monash participates successfully in the annual National University Games and the Club holds regular social “uni nights” for any Monash students interested. Mannix College, Richardson Hall and the SRC have all hosted functions at the Club in recent times, and many students have become full members of OBC.

The OBC Men’s Singles, Woman’s Singles and Minor Champions in 2012-2015 were all Monash university students proving that Lawn Bowls is not just a game for older people and that the skills can be learned very quickly at the highest level.

OBC opens its doors to all Monash students, employees and alumni and we offer a warm welcome, coaching, social/pennant bowls and a chance to develop personal and sporting skills in a progressive and growing club.

We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Monash University and Team Monash in sharing the great game of Lawn Bowls.
